Measure for your new PVC Patio Door

How to measure your double glazed PVC Patio door  Measure from PLASTER to PLASTER  Take your tape measure and quickly measure the width of your door opening (aperture)  from plaster-to-plaster from three points: the top, middle and bottom of the door opening. Once you’ve got all your measurements, take the smallest one and use it as the width. Remember, for any part of your door that isn’t uniform in height, take a note of the smallest measurement of the 3 averaged and minus 10mm to ensure a proper fit  Measure from PLASTER to PLASTER  Take a measurement of the height between the plaster and the plaster on the sides.   Take AVERAGES and minus 10mm from the smallest

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Door Width:  Take measurements of positions in all three places from brick to brick.  Write down the three measurements.  Take the smallest of the three measurements, deduct 10mm to allow for fitting and sealing.

NB: If your Patio door opening is larger than 1800mm wide please email us as you may require a sidelight.

Some important points to remember

Measure from outside, brickwork to brickwork. (plaster to plaster)

If that is not possible, measure your existing window.

Measure in a few different positions, take your smallest size and deduct approximately 10mm.
