Guide for measuring your PVC Back Door

Measuring for a new PVC Back Door

Measure from outside your home, (standing facing the doors from outside) so you’re looking at the exterior of the door.

DOOR WIDTH: Measure the width of the door at the center. Depending on your style of home, extend your tape
measure, horizontally from brick to brick, siding to siding OR plaster to plaster

DOOR HEIGHT: To measure the height of a new pvc back door, extend your tape measure, vertically. Again, depending
on the style of your home, measure from the header to the bottom of the door sill, the siding to the bottom of the
door threshold or sill at the top of the doorstep.

Some important points to remember

Measure from outside, brickwork to brickwork. (plaster to plaster)

If that is not possible, measure your existing window.

Measure in a few different positions, take your smallest size and deduct approximately 10mm.
